Jason Kelce is happy to help when his daughters are sick — but he's not the parent they want when they're not feeling their best.
The former NFL player, 37, appeared on the Friday, Feb. 14 episode of his wife Kylie Kelce's podcast Not Gonna Lie (Wave Sports + Entertainment) and shared that their family had been under the weather for the last month as they all battled an illness. As Jason and Kylie bantered about who helps out more when their daughters are sick, the retired athlete noted that his kids don't even seem to want his help.
“The problem is is that when an illness enters our home — you know this because we just did this for like three weeks, four weeks, the month of January, basically — you still get to sleep and recover,” Kylie, 32, says.
“If you needed me to get up, I would get up. But the kids don’t want to see me," Jason replies. "They want to see Mom. I try. I go into Benny’s room and she says, ‘I want Mama.' "

Kylie agrees, saying that a similar situation had happened a few nights ago and that the couple's youngest daughter Bennett, 23 months, had "played" Jason so hard.
“Most of the time when I go in there, they don’t want me,” Jason explains.
“To be fair, she is playing the s--- out of you recently,” Kylie says of Benny.
“If they’re already crying, dad is not helping,” Jason says. “Honestly, you make it worse,” Kylie adds.
Jason goes on to say that he can only help if he catches his daughters before they start crying, which Kylie agrees is accurate.
Jason and Kylie share three daughters — Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett — and are expecting their fourth daughter together.
During a previous episode of her podcast, Kylie opened up about the couple's decision to have another baby, joking that they were probably going to have to stop at four.
"Jason was always like, 'I'll do whatever you wanna do,' and I was always in the camp of I wanted four with room for one pleasant surprise," Kylie shared on her podcast. "Which I really think we got to three, and I was like, three is cool. This feels good."
"Then we got out of the rough baby sleeping and all that, and then I was just like, you know what? I really like even numbers," she joked.
Although she's excited to welcome her fourth baby, Kylie doesn't think they're going to go for their "pleasant surprise."
"I think it might get shut down after this one," she said. "We're gonna have this next kid and I'm gonna be like, 'Don't even look at me. Just eyes at the floor. Don't look at me.' "
